The meeting was called to order at 9:00 am. In attendance were Supervisors Brandt, Peterson, and Wortham, Chief Clasen, and the Clerk.

Supervisor Brandt explained the history of the review of the fire contract with Timothy Township. The current and sample contracts were reviewed by the township’s attorney. AS the attorney had no strong opinion on which version was better, Brandt suggested having Timothy accept the current contract as is and work to update for next year. Wortham motioned to choose one indemnification clause and forward to Timothy for approval without further consideration. The differences were discussed and decided to use the new language from the sample contract. Carried unanimous. The clerk will prepare updated contract and forward to the Timothy clerk for their approval.

A discussion of the fire truck specifications document and verified that right of refusal language was included in the current version. Motion by Peterson, second by Wortham to advertise for bids with opening scheduled for August 8th, 2014 at 2 pm. Specifications document will be provided to bidders by email only.

There being no further business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 9:45 am.
