The meeting was called to order at 9 am. In attendance were Supervisors Brandt, Wortham, Peterson, and the Clerk.
Supervisor Brandt reviewed the proposed budget from the January 21st Special Meeting.
Discussion continued with a review of each fund’s proposed budget and any concerns and ideas that could affect the budget needs in 2014.
The proposed budget was adjusted to following:
General $150,000
Road & Bridge $175,000
Road Construction $235,000
Fire Department $150,000
Parks & Rec $3,000
Recycling $1,500
Capital Projects $165,000
Transfer Station $1,500
Total 2014 Budget $881,000
Further discussion included a review of the ending 2012 fund balances and required adjustments to beginning balances for 2013. The fund balances will be reviewed and adjusted as part of the annual town audit process set to begin on February 4th.
Supervisor Brandt presented an update on the rezoning request for the town hall property to enable the permitting for the proposed renovations. The county planning & zoning had reviewed and approved the requested change, but the county commissioners would also be considering the request at an upcoming meeting. Brandt expected the request would be approved.
Discussion continued on a recent preliminary estimate provided by local contractor for the hall renovations. The board had also contacted RemWhirl about having them provide advice and drawings for the addition.
There being no further business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 am.
