The meeting was called to order at 12:00 pm. Supervisors Peterson, Bilek & Johnson were in attendance along with staff Denny Rahm, Curtis Hoefs, Butch Field and Vince Crary.
Peterson welcomed all township employees and conveyed the Board’s appreciation for their dedication and hard work. By working together as a team, we can best serve our customers, the residents of Ideal.
A review of all the year’s changes and challenges at the Transfer Station, the Maintenance Department and with Buildings and Grounds. Many enhancements were made that improve the services, efficiency and safety we provide to our residents.
A review of the plans for 2018 were presented by Peterson. While there are no current plans for the Transfer Station, we have ordered a new tractor with mowers for a spring delivery. Other possible projects were presented.
A discussion occurred regarding current operations and problems encountered. Staff were encouraged to share their ideas and comments to make sure they have the tools/equipment to do their jobs. Customer relations were discussed and Peterson stressed the importance of engaging with our residents and non-residents on a professional basis.
Peterson announced there are wage rate increases effective January 1, 2018 that were approved at the December Board Meeting.
