The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Wortham at 7:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance. All members were in attendance.
Motion by Brandt to accept the minutes of the October 11th, 2005 Board Meeting as read. Carried - unanimous
Motion by Brandt to accept the Treasurers report for October, 2005. Carried - unanimous
Motion by Plein to pay all November bills presented for payment by the Clerk . Carried - unanimous
Bob Olufs requested the Township contact Duane Blanck from the Crow Wing County Highway Department to resolve the on going problem with the culvert near his home.
Cindy Hidde, from Landecker and Associates, presented a rezoning request on behalf of the Brekkans. The requested was to change a parcel from Agricultural to shoreline residential. A brief discussion took place. The Board concluded the rezoning was consistent with other properties in the area and the Ideal Township Comprehensive Plan and agreed to send a letter of support to Crow Wing County Planning and Zoning.
The Road and Bridge report was as follows:
- Supervisor Brandt reported that the salt/sand mix and plow trucks were ready for the winter season.
- Brandt reported the drainage problem on Father Foley had been remedied.
- There were no safety incidents.
The Fire Department report was as follows:
- There was one fire run the previous month.
- Bruce Schultz reported the department will be adding a North-side officer at the next election.
- Schultz reported on the negotiations on purchasing a new truck for the North-side.
- There were no safety incidents.
Motion by Wortham to accept the bid for the fire truck from E-One, with the condition the purchase price does not exceed $155,000 and the financing to be determined at a letter date with E-One. Carried - unanimous
The Park and Recreation report was as follows:
- Supervisor Plein reported the dormers over the doors on the Town Hall had been completed.
- A quote was submitted by Carpet Direct to replace the flooring in the Town Hall.
Motion by Brandt to accept the quote of approximately $2,000 for installation and materials to replace the carpet in the Town Hall, with the Ideal maintenance department removing the old carpet. Carried - unanimous
The Transfer Station report was as follows:
- Brandt reported the Transfer Station is now open on Saturdays only for the winter season.
- No hazardous waste is being accepted at the Transfer Station.
- New signage has been placed at the boundaries of the Transfer Station to discourage trespassing.
Gerry Brine presented a draft of a lease agreement to the Board of Supervisors regarding a property on Butternut Point Road. The Board agreed to review and submit any comments.
The clerk advised the Board of an upcoming meeting regarding enforcement of the Crow Wing County Dog ordinance. Supervisor Brandt agreed to attend.
The clerk requested the Board suggest a date to have Denny Meyers from Crow Wing County Planning and Zoning attend the monthly township meeting to discuss Planning and Zoning issues. The Board agreed the January 9th, 2006 was acceptable.
Supervisor Brandt commented on the recent Petition for a Lake Improvement District for Ossawinamakee Lake.
Supervisor Brandt announced the next meeting regarding the Kehring Cartway was scheduled for 5:30 pm, on January 9th, 2006, as the appraiser was unable to attend the meeting scheduled for November 14th.
There being no further Township business to transact, the meeting adjourned at 8:08 P.M.
