Board Meeting November 2004

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Wortham at 7:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance. All Board members were in attendance.

Motion by Brandt to accept the minutes of the October 18th, 2004 Board Meeting as read. Carried – unanimous

Motion by Steffen to accept the Treasurers report for October 2004.  Carried - unanimous

Motion by Brandt to pay all November bills presented for payment by the Clerk. Carried­ - unanimous

Gerry Brine presented an Application to Vacate a portion of Pine Drive on behalf of Dick Wilske. The Board requested a Cul-de-Sac be put at the end of the road to ensure the plow trucks would be able to tum around. Brine agreed to discuss the possibility with Mr. Wilske.

Tom Royce approached the Board regarding the newly improved roads in the Idyllwood Development. Royce requested the Township take over maintenance of Idyllwood Avenue and Idyllwood Blvd. Motion by Steffen to take over maintenance of both roads pending an on-site inspection to confirm all requirements have been met. Carried - unanimous

The Road and Bridge Report was as follows:

  1. Athmann reported the salt/sand mixture was ready for winter.
  2. Patching had been done on several Township roads.
  3. There were no safety incidents.

Assistant Fire Chief, Jeff Feltmann, requested the Maintenance Department put rock or patio block around the hydrant on Wildamere to deter erosion.

The Fire Department Report was as follows:

  1. There were 3 fire runs the previous month.
  2. Feltmann reported the grass rig is done being painted and reflective tape is now needed.
  3. There were no safety incidents.

A discussion regarding 1st Responder training followed.

Supervisor Brandt reported on the progress of the North-Side Fire Department Substation.

The Transfer Station Report was as follows:

Supervisor Brandt reported the brush pile had been burned.

Chairman Wortham read a letter of resignation from David Steffen effective December 1st. Motion by Wortham to accept Steffen's resignation. Carried - unanimous. Wortham and Brandt thanked Steffen for his 30 plus years of service to the Ideal Community.

There being no further Township business to transact, the meeting adjourned at 7:58 P.M.
