The meeting was called to order by Chairman Taylor at 7:00P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Supervisor Badger was not in attendance.
Motion by Caughlan to approve the minutes of the October 9, 2000 Board meeting as read. Carried - unanimous
Motion by Taylor to accept the treasurer's report for October as presented. Carried - unanimous
Motion by Caughlan to pay all November bills presented for payment by the Clerk. Carried - unanimous
The clerk reported that the men's bathroom was in need of repair as the sink is loose and there is a leak. He also reported that there was some water damage done to the ceiling area in the hall near the restrooms. A request was made to make access to the handicap ramp easier before the General Election.
The fire chief reported that the sprinkler drains for the Piney Ridge Golf Course was to near the roads edge and to near the dry hydrant and could pose a problem in the event of a fire in that area.
The road and bridge report was as follows:
- A new chainsaw is needed at a cost of about $500.00.
- The winters supply of salt/sand has been prepared.
- There have been no safety incidents.
Motion by Caughlan to purchase a new chainsaw at a cost of approximately $500.00. Carried - unanimous
The fire department report was as follows :
- There were 5 fire runs the previous month.
- New hose is needed for the crosslays on #9515. The cost would be approximately $2,400.00.
- Tim Tabbert joined the department as a new fireman.
- A policy should be considered for the response to cut natural gas lines relative to charging the homeowner. The chief will report on this.
- There have been no safety incidents.
Motion by Taylor to order hose for the crosslays on #9515 in December for January delivery. Carried - unanimous
The truck rotation schedule was reviewed. The feeling was that the Board was on s schedule for replacement of#9511, the next vehicle to be replaced. The rotation should be updated and prepared for the March 2001 annual meeting.
The clerk reported that an offer had been made to Robert Bainbridge of $1,500.00 for his interest in the ROW of the 150' spur at the end of Winnamakee Shores Rd. The offer was refused by Bainbridge making it necessary to continue the condemnation proceeding.
According to the clerk, Supervisor Badger had visited with Robbie Saccoman about purchasing additional park property from him. Saccoman is uncertain of his plans for his property at this time and reluctant to sell any right now.
Caughlan reported that the metal baling company had suffered considerable vandalism to property while it was parked at the transfer station. When the equipment is repaired, the metal at the transfer station will be baled and removed.
The clerk read a letter from CWC Highway Department indicating that placement of house numbers signage had begun in the northeast comer of Crow Wing Co. They hoped to complete Ideal Township prior to winter.
There being no further township business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 8:16 P.M.
