Board Meeting January 2005

Monday, January 10, 2005 - 7:00pm
Minutes Status: 

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Wortham at 7:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance.  All Board members were in attendance.

Motion by Brandt to accept the minutes of the December 13th, 2004 Board Meeting and December 20th, 2004 Special Meeting as read.  Carried- unanimous

Motion by Brandt to accept the Treasurers report for December 2004. Carried - unanimous

Motion by Plein to pay all January bills presented for payment by the Clerk.  Carried- unanimous

Ron Schultz approached the Board regarding a rezoning request of 15 acres.  A brief discussion followed.  The Board unanimously supported the zoning change.

The Road and Bridge Report was as follows:

  1. Rahm reported on plowing and scraping in the Township.
  2. There were no safety incidents.

Supervisor Wortham reported on the road inspection of the ldyllwood Development.

Motion by Wortham to accept the ldyllwood Development roads for Township maintenance. Carried - unanimous

The Fire Department Report was as follows:

  1. There were 4 fire runs the previous month.
  2. Bruce Schultz reported 9 new fire fighters were beginning fire fighter one class this month.
  3. #9515 was in for repairs.
  4. There were no safety incidents.

There was nothing new to report for Park and Recreation.

The Transfer Station report was as follows:

  1. Supervisor Brandt reported on a recent meeting he attended with the MPCA.
  2. Crow Wing County removed the old electronics from the transfer station.

Brandt reported that Sentence to Serve was splitting wood for Big Island and on February 10th, the wood will be delivered to the island.

Supervisor Wortham requested the Board members and Fire Chief consider the 2006 budget as a Budget Meeting would be forthcoming in February.

There being no further Township business to transact, the meeting adjourned at 8:05 P.M.
