Driveway Permit
Ideal Township requires property owners to obtain a permit to create a new access from a property onto a township road. This process allows the Township, as road authority, to review new driveways to insure proper safety and drainage for the roadway.
Please mark the location of your new driveway with stakes and then call or email the Township Clerk regarding your application.

Road Right-of-Way Application and Permit
An application and permit are required to excavate in the public right-of-way.
Burning Permit
DNR preferred method is to apply for a permit anytime online via the DNR website,
or burning permits can be obtained at the Township office during regular office hours - 10-3 Monday - Friday
Check burning restrictions and fire danger conditions at the DNR website.
