Town Board Meetings

Special Meeting April 19 2018

Thursday, April 19, 2018 - 8:30am

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 am.  Chairman Peterson was in attendance, along with the Clerk and many other Township officials from around the state. There was not a Town Board quorum.

Board Meeting April 2018

Monday, April 9, 2018 - 7:00pm

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Peterson at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. All Board members, the Clerk, and 5 residents were in attendance.

Motion by Bilek, second by Peterson to approve the minutes of the March 12th Board Meeting, and the March 26th Special/Reorganizational Meeting as presented. Carried unanimously.

A resident asked the Board to address a property on County Road 39 that has unsightly garbage & junk piled on the hill that is visible from the road.

Special Meeting March 26 2018

Monday, March 26, 2018 - 8:30am

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 am.  Supervisors Peterson, Johnson, and Bilek; and the Clerk were present.

The officers received training by the MN Association of Townships. After the training sessions, the Board convened to conduct the Reorganizational Meeting.

Annual Town Meeting 2018

Tuesday, March 13, 2018 - 8:00pm

The Town Clerk called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance.  There were approximately 20 residents in attendance.

The Clerk called for nominations for Moderator of the 2018 Annual Township Meeting.  Motion by David Peterson, second by Mary Plein to nominate Paula Schaub.  There were no other nominations. Schaub accepted the nomination.

The Moderator asked for any changes to the proposed agenda provided. There were no changes offered.

Board Meeting March 2018

Monday, March 12, 2018 - 7:00pm

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Peterson at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Supervisors Bilek & Peterson and the Clerk were in attendance.

Motion by Bilek, second by Peterson to approve the minutes of the February 12th Board Meeting, and the March 2nd Board of Audit Meeting as presented. Carried unanimously.

Annual Board of Audit

Friday, March 2, 2018 - 9:00am

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 am.  All members and the clerk were in attendance. Chris Clasen from the audit firm of Justin Clasen & Company, LTD was also present.

Clasen presented a summary document of the audit findings. He pronounced the audit found no significant issues with a high level of assurance. The financial report had been submitted to the state auditor’s office. The audit document was reviewed along with the Communications, Management & Representation letters prepared by the auditors.

Board Meeting February 2018

Monday, February 12, 2018 - 7:30pm

The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Bilek at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Supervisors Bilek & Johnson, the Clerk, Chief Schultz, and four residents were in attendance. Cpt. Scott Goddard of the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department was also present.

Motion by Johnson, second by Bilek to amend the agenda to add the Czapko variance request to the Planning & Zoning portion.

Motion by Johnson, second by Bilek to approve the minutes of the January 8th Board Meeting, and the January 8th Special Meeting as presented. Carried unanimously.

Board Meeting January 2018

Monday, January 8, 2018 - 7:00pm

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Peterson at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. All members, the Clerk, Chief Schultz, and eight residents were in attendance.

Motion by Peterson, second by Bilek to approve the minutes of the December 11th Board Meeting, and the December 21st Special Meeting as presented. Carried unanimously.

Resident Troy Anderson spoke to the Board regarding an upcoming variance request for lake setback to a proposed deck. They will submit application to the County so that materials are available to the Board at the February meeting.
