Board Meeting March 2018

Monday, March 12, 2018 - 7:00pm

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Peterson at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Supervisors Bilek & Peterson and the Clerk were in attendance.

Motion by Bilek, second by Peterson to approve the minutes of the February 12th Board Meeting, and the March 2nd Board of Audit Meeting as presented. Carried unanimously.

Annual Board of Audit

Friday, March 2, 2018 - 9:00am

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 am.  All members and the clerk were in attendance. Chris Clasen from the audit firm of Justin Clasen & Company, LTD was also present.

Clasen presented a summary document of the audit findings. He pronounced the audit found no significant issues with a high level of assurance. The financial report had been submitted to the state auditor’s office. The audit document was reviewed along with the Communications, Management & Representation letters prepared by the auditors.

Board Meeting February 2018

Monday, February 12, 2018 - 7:30pm

The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Bilek at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Supervisors Bilek & Johnson, the Clerk, Chief Schultz, and four residents were in attendance. Cpt. Scott Goddard of the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department was also present.

Motion by Johnson, second by Bilek to amend the agenda to add the Czapko variance request to the Planning & Zoning portion.

Motion by Johnson, second by Bilek to approve the minutes of the January 8th Board Meeting, and the January 8th Special Meeting as presented. Carried unanimously.

Board Meeting January 2018

Monday, January 8, 2018 - 7:00pm

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Peterson at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. All members, the Clerk, Chief Schultz, and eight residents were in attendance.

Motion by Peterson, second by Bilek to approve the minutes of the December 11th Board Meeting, and the December 21st Special Meeting as presented. Carried unanimously.

Resident Troy Anderson spoke to the Board regarding an upcoming variance request for lake setback to a proposed deck. They will submit application to the County so that materials are available to the Board at the February meeting.

Special Meeting January 8 2018

Monday, January 8, 2018 - 11:00am

The meeting was called to order at 11:00 am.  All members were in attendance, along with the Clerk and 2 residents.

Supervisor Peterson started by explaining that the purpose of the meeting is to prepare a preliminary proposal for setting the 2019 levy and budgets. He presented financial reports showing activity in 2017 and comparisons of previous years’ levy amounts and expenditures. He reported on some items that affected the 2017 financials and recounted planned projects for 2018 & 2019. The Fund Balance Policy was briefly reviewed and highlighted changes for 2018.

Special Meeting December 21 2017

Thursday, December 21, 2017 - 12:00pm

The meeting was called to order at 12:00 pm.  Supervisors Peterson, Bilek & Johnson were in attendance along with staff Denny Rahm, Curtis Hoefs, Butch Field and Vince Crary.

Peterson welcomed all township employees and conveyed the Board’s appreciation for their dedication and hard work. By working together as a team, we can best serve our customers, the residents of Ideal.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Peterson at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. All members, the Clerk, Chief Schultz, and two residents were in attendance.

Motion by Peterson, second by Bilek to approve the minutes of the November 13th Board Meeting, and the November 20th Special Meeting as presented. Carried unanimously.

Supervisor Bilek presented the Planning & Zoning report as follows:

  1. There had been 2 shoreline, and 2 septic permits issued during November.
