The meeting was called to order at 2:00 pm. Board members Peterson, and Bilek were in attendance, along with the Clerk, and 4 members of the Big Island Joint Powers Board. Three other residents were also present.
The discussion focused on the history of the Big Island joint powers agreement and the contributions made over the years by each of the three entities participating, Ideal Township, Crow Wing County, and the MN DNR, as well as the group of dedicated volunteers who monitor and maintain the islands.
Peterson suggested that a memorandum of understanding could be adopted to outline the contributions of the entities and that may help insure parity.
No Board action was taken.
There being no further business to conduct, the meeting adjourned at 2:40 pm.
