Ideal Township Qualification Meeting, March 26th, 2008
The clerk called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
The clerk asked for nominations for Chairman for the Ideal Township Board of Supervisors for the year 2008.
Motion by Brandt, seconded by Plein to nominate Bill Wortham for the year 2008. Carried - unanimous
The Board discussed forming a committee to investigate incorporation and protection against Annexation. Supervisor Wortham agreed to contact several Ideal residents to join the Board on the committee.
The assignment of duties for the Board members was discussed and made as follows:
- Road and Bridge - Brandt
- Fire Department Liaison - Wortham
- Transfer Station and Recycling - Plein
- Park and Recreation - Plein
- Weed Control - Brandt
- Safety Officer - Wortham
- Townhall Building and Grounds - Wortham
- Big Island Liaison - Brandt
- Public Communications - Plein
- Maintenance Building Plan & Construction - Brandt
- Comprehensive Plan - Wortham
- Planning and Zoning - Brandt
- Incorporation/Annexation Review - Wortham
- Other Duties Unassigned - Plein
Motion by Brandt, seconded by Plein, to accept the proposed assignment as listed. Carried - unanimous
The meeting adjourned at 10:55 a.m.
