Ideal Township Board Meeting, January 8th, 2007

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Wortham at 7:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Supervisor Brandt was not in attendance.

Motion by Plein, seconded by Wortham to accept the minutes of the December 11th, 2006 Board Meeting and December 13th Special Meeting as presented. Carried - unanimous

Motion by Plein, seconded by Wortham to accept the Treasurers report for December, 2006. Carried - unanimous

Motion by Plein, seconded Wortham to pay all January bills presented for payment by the Clerk, with a $60.14 adjustment to check number 13931, check number 13923 through check number 13941, totaling $52,727.58. Carried - unanimous

There was no new business discussed during open forum.

The Road and Bridge report was as follows:

1. Maintenance Supervisor Rahm reported on salting and sanding on township roads.
2. The Maintenance Department has been doing brushing along several township roads.
3. There were no safety incidents.

The Fire Department report as follows:

1. There were no emergency runs the previous month.
2. Bruce Schultz reported a resignation from the department due to living location and requested a notice be placed in the paper for 2 new fire fighters.
3. There were no safety incidents.

There was nothing new to report for Park and Recreation.

Supervisor Plein presented a new Planning and Zoning page to be installed on the Township website for review.

There was nothing new to report for the Transfer Station.

There being further business to transact, the meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm.
