Special Meeting September 13th, 2005

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Wortham at 12:30 pm. All Board members were in attendance along with Chief Schultz, Tom Johnson and Ken Stoltman from the Ideal Fire Department.

Chief Schultz advised the Board as to why the required municipal contribution was elevated in the year 2004. A discussion took place regarding the Relief Association deficit, retirement amounts and the per year of service benefit level.

The Board requested Chief Schultz arrange a meeting with a specialist to better understand the Relief Association and the required municipal contribution level.

Motion by Brandt to raise the per year of service benefit level from $1,600 to $1700 per Fire Fighter per year. Carried - unanimous.

A discussion regarding a truck for the north-side Substation took place. Motion by Wortham to advertise for a fire truck for the north-side, with bids being received until Noon on Friday, October 7th, 2005.

The meeting adjourned at 2:00 pm.
