Ideal Township Board Meeting February 14th, 2005

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Wortham at 7:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance. All Board members were in attendance.

Motion by Brandt to accept the minutes of the January 10th, 2005 Board Meeting as read. Carried - unanimous

Motion by Brandt to accept the Treasurers report for January 2005. Carried - unanimous

Motion by Plein to pay all February bills presented for payment by the Clerk. Carried - unanimous

Arlo Renschler requested the Board investigate proposed development along Ossawinnamakee Road along with possible remedies to ease traffic along the road.

The Road and Bridge Report was as follows:

1. Wortham reported on plowing in the Township.
2. There were no safety incidents.

The Fire Department Report was as follows:

1. There were 2 fire runs the previous month.
2. Bruce Schultz reported the pump unit for the new grass rig has been ordered.
3. The Department is ordering three new sets of turnout gear.
4. Timothy Township signed the new Fire Contract for 2006-2007.
5. Chet Nelson and Mark Johnson passed the FF1 Test.
6. There were no safety incidents.

There was nothing new to report for Park and Recreation and the Transfer Station.

Brandt reported that 40 cords of wood were hauled out to the Rollie Johnson Recreation Area on February 10th by Sentence to Serve, DNR and volunteers.

The Clerk presented the Board with an invoice from Crow Wing County regarding the Dog Ordinance. Motion by Brandt to accept the ordinance and to pay the invoice to the County with the April bills. Carried - unanimous

The Budget Meeting was scheduled for February 22nd, 2005 at 10:00am at the Town Hall.

There being no further Township business to transact, the meeting adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
